With two impressive 134-metre-efforts and 266.4 points, the Czech Republic's Jakub Janda won the second event in Neustadt. It was the first World Cup victory in his career. Adam Małysz was second on 254.4 points, ahead of Finland's Risto Jussilainen (251.3 points). The World Cup standings leader Janne Ahonen, after quite disappointing performance, finished in 7th place.
After the Saturday's event in Neustadt and Ahonen's 12th win in the season, nobody expected such a surprise: the top favourite of the competition finished in 7th place, leaving the hot seat for Jakub Janda. In the first round, the Finn jumped only a modest 127,5 metres, which didn't let him take a good place before the final round. Janda, with a flawless jump of 134 metres, took the lead ahead of Adam Małysz (131 metres) and Thomas Morgenstern (128,5 metres).
Janne Ahonen's second-round attempt couldn't help him to improve his position: his 131 metres could only let him hold his 7th place. It was another Finn, Risto Jussilainen, who was guaranteed a place on the podium: with his 132,5 metres, he beat Thomas Morgenstern. However, Jussilainen was soon deposed by Adam Małysz, who soared to 132 metres. But the last jump from Jakub Janda didn't leave any doubts about who was going to win this competition: his second 134-metre-effort was well enough to give him the first place on the podium.
While Adam Małysz is still among the best ski jumpers of the World Cup, the shape of other Polish competitors leaves a lot to be desired. In Sunday's competition in Neustadt, Mateusz Rutkowski finished in 45th place with his 111-metre-jump and Robert Mateja, who had difficulties with breaking the distance of 100 metres, took 49th position. Let's hope that the home hill in Zakopane will bring more luck to Polish ski jumpers.

yeea janda is in good form but he must train his brain :)) it means that jakub has got perfect style and form but he still burning his psycho and he cant goes up, jakub cant jump two the same jumps, Adam Can to this, Adam Back to his great form in world championship somewhere i dont know where :] he must GRAB GOLD MEDAL AND SHOW HIS PEACEFUL THINKIN AND DETERMINATION :] Ahonen lose his form becouse too many times he jump too far his form is good but his time is end malysz back to the GAME MAN :D AND WIN THE ZAKOPANE COMPETITION !!!!
